OUR SERVICE

The Solution

Clients are all business people who can be Company Directors, partners or Sole traders. Each individual involved needs their own documents; one document does not cover all the business participants.

A personal LPA does not cover your business.

OUR SERVICE

BusinessLPA are here to help you decide on selecting the right attorneys and setting out your instructions specific to the business concerned. (Remember if you are involved in more than one business trading as a separate entity, you will probably need to undertake the process for each of these businesses.)

We produce the Lasting Power of Attorney documents to these instructions, incorporating the necessary clauses specific to each business. We oversee the completion process involving all parties signing their relevant sections and act as witness and certificate provider (see FAQs) in most cases. When Attorneys are remote to this process we manage their completion of their section of the document through a proven process, all on your behalf.

We manage the process of Registration addressing any issues that might arise, ensuring that your valuable time is spent on running your business.

Through the ongoing relationship with our sister company LPA Made Simple and the experience of the partners, in helping thousands of clients with the production and registration of personal LPAs, we have a thorough understanding of the registration process with the Office the Public Guardian (the registration body). We have dealt with, and continue to deal with, the often complicated issues that can arise during this process and can guarantee that your own involvement will always be kept to a minimum.

We produce new, or amend existing, Articles of Association (in the case of Limited Companies) and redraft or amend partnership agreements (for Partnerships) as necessary.

In some cases our clients use their own legal advisors to undertake this element of the process, in which case we liaise as necessary to ensure that the whole process runs smoothly and accurately.

We recognise that you may wish to involve existing business advisors (such as accountants and Financial advisors), and look to work harmoniously and effectively at all times.

Our aim is to ensure that your business is in a position to continue to operate and flourish ‘seamlessly’, with the minimum of disruption, should the issue of loss of mental capacity arise.
